Your chance to learn from the pros with no prior experience needed. Electric Surf Co has been offering eFoil experiences in Austin for the last 5 years. It is a truly special and magical feeling to be floating in near silence above the water.
After being fitted for a life vest and helmet, your guide will provide a lesson and safety briefing on the dock to prepare you for the on-water experience. Then you'll have full 60 minutes of riding time on the lake.
With wireless headset communication, your guide will take you from prone riding (on your belly) to kneeling and then to standing within a short time. Once you get gain some comfort and control on plane, you're ready to take your first flight! With a slight shift of your weight, the foil will start to ascend and the board will rise above the water. Shift you weight forward to touch back down. When you're ready for the challenge, hone in your balance finesse and extend your flight time a little more after each and every takeoff.
Participants must be able to swim. Solo lessons are for ages 18 an up.
